betreffende Joshua’s Song:

Altough we’re not really a band anymore, we’re happy to announce the release of our first and only full length LP on Collision records from Finland. Because of Oathbreakers’ signing to Deathwish records, Ivo & Lennart are obviously pre-occupied with better, more productive things. I for one, am very happy about both facts (Oathbreakers’ singing and the JS lp still being released.) So it’s all good. You can get the LP here:

The art is done by my friend Spoiler. I’m stoked to be still putting out records with skinheads drawn by Spoiler on the cover.

Me and Hans have joined forces with Gert from DEAD STOP to form a new superband called FILLER. We’ve opened up for Scream last week and all went well.

A backdrop is being designed by Ward Heirwegh and Lieven Lahaye as we speak and we’re planning to listen to Youth of Today before every set we play just to get in the right mood. We’ll see how that works out. In the meantime we’re trying to figure out who the hell is playing drums for the Bad Brains in this video.

Any clues are much appreciated, we’re losing a lot of sleep trying to figure this out.

Here’s a new clip for Title Fight. On the 8th of December they played a show at Jc Kavka in Antwerp, Belgium. Me and partner in crime, Simon De Graef, filmed some songs during Title Fight’s set. The song “Society” is the first one to be released. Expect way better clips of this show pretty soon. xo

Next artist is a 24-year-old singer/songwriter from Blackpool, UK, called KARIMA FRANCIS. As she was supporting Smith & Burrows, I had the chance to meet up when the tour landed in Antwerp.  The morning after her show I picked her up at her hotel and we got a cab to my place. I asked her to play a song on my rooftop. She had a cold and was not feeling quite well but her performance was absolutely stunning.  After making this clip, knowing she just signed a record deal with Mercury Records and having seen her show that night I believe this girl is going to be HUGE! Enjoy “Glory Days” by Karima Francis on my rooftop.

This Is Informative, You Should Watch It of the Day: Mike Mozart of JeepersMedia puts the epic toy fails on hold for a moment to shed some necessary light on one of the most mind-blowing open secrets about the Stop Online Piracy Act: The entertainment industry giants spending millions to get it passed previously spent years actively encouraging the same “piracy” they now claim to oppose.

The video is a little long, but well worth watching all the way through, if only to appreciate the sheer WTF*ckery that is SOPA.

After you’ve watched the whole thing, use this site to find your elected officials and make sure they watch the whole thing too.

As Mozart says: We only get once chance to stop this bill before it stops us.

Also, while we’re at it, GoDaddy — the controversial domain registrar — has come out in support of SOPA.

For many online, that’s a deal breaker — including for Cheezburger CEO Ben Huh, who has announced his intention to move all Cheezburger Network domains away from GoDaddy unless they come to their senses.

If you feel the same way, this boycott thread on Reddit should provide you with all you need to know about moving to another domain hosting service.

I made this next clip for LOVE LIKE BIRDS, a sweet magnificent girl from Ghent. She recorded an Ep that’ll steal your heavy heart if you listen to it. A long time before I actually met her I discovered a song of hers called “HEAVY HEART” on myspace. There’s a certain tristesse in this song, so pure and true, that really appealed to me. I had this discussion the other day with a friend of mine about the integrity of certain artists. We were arguing about a performance of an artist I really like, but he was convicted by my friend of being a fraud. Later on I showed him this clip and he was blown away by it. He believed her. She’s pure and real, watch her play at one of her shows because you’ll notice she knows how to please a crowd.

A while ago FILLER, a new band from Antwerp influenced by the BAD BRAINS, played their first show in luxembourg as support act for one the best known rockbands from Belgium, The Black Box Revelation. They asked me to join them with my camera and I took this opportunity to make a video for one of their songs. It was an amazing adventure, their tourmanager Packo entertained us the whole night & some pretty cool things happend that day, more on that later. Since I’ve been living in Antwerp I started hanging out more & more with these guys and we’ve been helping each other out on several occassions. On the 9th of december they’ll open up for their buddies in TITLE FIGHT at jc Kavka in Antwerp. So be sure to check them out and support them. Here’s FILLER with the song “Die”.

Hi kids,

From now I’ll be posting all the clips I make on this blog. I’ll start with the one I made for an amazing Lifetime & Jawbreaker influenced band from Kingston, Pennsylvania called TITLE FIGHT.
At the Lintfabriek, a small venue near Antwerp-city, they played a sort of surprise show in the summer. I was present & I’m glad I was. The room was filled with teenage anxiety, on stage and in the crowd, it was everywhere. I witnessed the true energy of live independent music.
After the show I asked my friends Hans & Wim, aka Sike & Stief Positief, the
occasional drivers of the band, if I could join them with my camera while they were playing two festivals in Belgium, Rock Herk and Pukkelpop. I wanted to make a videoclip for a song called COXTON YARD, with live footage and images I shot during their stay at the festivals.
After Rock Herk, which was amazing, the band asked me if I would like to join them at Pukkelpop. They fixed me an all-areas pass. I was happy as fuck. To be completly honest I was also really siked about seeing Dave Grohl and The Foo Fighters, because they were playing on the same day of the festival. So I wanted to get Dave Grohl on camera. I thought it would be interesting to get Dave Grohl,  who used to be this young punk kid raising from the underground scene to a much bigger audience, next to Title Fight, a band in some ways living the same story. So that the day I had put on my SCREAM-shirt, just to attracted Grohl’s attention and left Antwerp filled with teenage anxiety. I spent an amazing day until somewhere around 6 PM. The storm got its raise and we had to count its casualties in the nightmare it evoked. I stopped filming, unlike Leto’s crew covering the whole picture like posh joks with their fancy 5D’s. I was in shock. People were missing, cellphones weren’t working, chaos took over and Pukkelpop looked like a warzone. I’m glad none of my friends got hurt, and I feel sorry for those who are demanding their money back. I know it’s easy to say for someone who got in for free, but still, Go Fuck Yourself.
Enjoy the clip!
Jerry.
